Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are a place where family members can take a few minutes to step out of the hustle and bustle of an active hospital and into a quiet, comfortable family setting, without ever actually leaving hospital and continuing to be mere feet from their sick child.
Research shows providing families with emotional and physical support improves the hospital experience for both the child and their family. Not only does the Family Room provide a respite for families, it also keeps families close by so they can meet with the medical team to participate in the treatment plan so essential to their child’s recovery. Helping to improve the child’s recovery helps to achieve better outcomes.
